Omg two posts in one day!!!

So I know I have my schedule that i'm very dedicated too, but I feel the need for a random update. So today we were doing blood sugar level tests in my physiology class and I was supposed to be first. So I'm up there in front of the whole class and I just cannot poke myself with the wimpy little needle. ugh. I hate needles. Even now almost an hour later I'm still shaking and I feel woozy . I DIDN"T EVEN POKE MYSELF!!! It's times like this that make me wonder about my career choice of nurse. oh dear.

Books, movies and an Epic fail

Ok. First day I was supposed to post and I didn't. I was sick with a headache so that's my excuse. anyways, on with the books!

Books I'm reading: Ok so the book I'm reading right now is call Wizards first rule,by Terry goodkind which is the first book in a series of 11 called The sword of truth seires. This book is about a man named Richard Cypher who lives a normal life and then he meets a woman named Kahlan and his life changes. He becomes immersed in magic and he discovers he has a destiny to distroy the evil lord Darken Rhal who is ruling the land.

Holy Crap this book is amazing! It's descriptive without being boring or excessive, and the characters are so well thought out and relatable. I would recommend the whole series to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy books. Acctually I think even if you don't like fantasy you'd like this book, it has a little something for everyone, Romance, mystery, action, adventure and fantasy. It is a really amazing book.

What I'm reading next:When I finish Wizards First Rule I will start reading My Sisters Keeper, which is about a girl that was born so that she good be a donor for her sick sister. It's supposed to be very good and I'm excited to read it. although I hear that the ending of all of the authors books are horrible. Anyone else think so?

Movies: I haven't really seen any good movies lately. The last movie I saw in theaters was probably Milk, Which is amazing by the way. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen and Sean Penn defintely deserved the Oscar that he got. Anyways, As this movie isn't super recent I'll talk about movies I want to see. manely Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. AHH! it looks so cute. Has anyone seen it?

Well that's it for now. See you tomorrow!

A Small Introduction

Hello!
If you've managed to stumble upon this page then you are either clicking the random button on blogspot, or you're a very dedicated friend of mine who probably spent hours searching for this because I like to make it a challenge for you to find me. Now if you're the later then I'm very impressed and you deserve to read this but I'm not telling you where my other blog is. I needed a fresh start anyways. If however, you are the former then you may just glance at this blog and go "oh look... It's green..." and then click away, but on the off chance that you decide to stay a while and maybe even become a follower one day then I feel Like I owe you an introduction.

Business stuff: I'm an 18 year old girl attending the University of Alberta, in Canada. I'm studying Bilingual nursing and I really like it so far.

Fun stuff: I'm a nerd. I can openly call myself that now because I have come to terms with it. feel free to make fun of me. I don't really care. I know an astounding amount about Harry Potter and Star Wars and especially about Lord of the Rings. I'm an avid reader. I love books and comic books and graphic novels. I also watch far to much t.v. and you can expect some talking about t.v. shows here. I'm a ginormous movie buff. I love all movies <3.

Political stuff: My political views are very liberal, bordering on socialist, so be prepared for some ranting in that frame of mind and feel free to argue if you so choose, I love trying to understand the other side of the argument, as long as you're nice about it. I'm also an environmentalist. I'm big on the earth and i'd like it to not be covered by water or become some nuclear waste land. That would be lovely.

The reason behind the name: The name of the blog is two fold: First it is a line from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and I'm a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan so it represents me in that way, and it also speaks to the environmentalist side of me and How I feel about deforestation and the general destruction of the environment.

If you stayed to the end of this post, then thank you.
This Blog is mostly for me to right my thoughts down about anything and everything, but I do enjoy having comentors,

So thank you for reading,
